Personal training is about getting the support you need.
Maybe you’re new to exercise, or maybe you’ve tried before and failed. Maybe you have a hard time showing up at the gym. I understand these things. Old habits die hard when you’re trying to make a change for your health, and a little help goes a long way!
Personal training is at least as much about support as it is about exercise.
As a personal trainer, my goal is to help you feel safe, comfortable and empowered, so that you can make a positive, permanent move to better fitness and wellness.
Fitness is integral to happiness.
I believe that fitness is a crucial component of a happy, balanced life. Fit people are stronger. They’re more confident. They feel better. As a personal trainer, I help people look forward to including fitness in their lives. My clients actually change their lives!
I like people.
Success with personal training comes from having a positive mental outlook, and a strong personal connection between you and your trainer can make all the difference in how you feel about your journey to fitness and wellness.
I genuinely like to spend time with my clients, and I like to think I have a special knack for putting them at ease. When you come to see me, you and I will chat, and laugh, and just generally appreciate each other’s company. You will enjoy your training time, and you’ll want to come back and see me again.
Training means something different to everyone.
We train for all sorts of different reasons: to get stronger and feel better; to be active with friends and family; to ski and golf and play hockey; to put a little spark back into our love life; to de-stress and sleep better; to gain muscle definition; ; to keep up with our kids or grandkids. Whatever our underlying motivation, we train to enjoy life!
Your reasons for training are your own; they’re unique to you. My job as your personal trainer is to really listen to how you feel, and what your goals are, and to help you to get where you want to go on your one-of-a-kind fitness journey.
Training is a journey, not a destination.
Every client I train comes to me for a different set of very personal reasons. But no matter what, every client wants to improve! No matter where you’re starting from, training is a journey of incremental successes over time, and I will help you get there.
I look forward to meeting you, investing in you, and getting started on your personal journey to better fitness and wellness. Together, let’s make it simple, achievable and most importantly, enjoyable.
And… if your goal is to transition from Personal Training to Performance Coaching, I will develop a transitional plan for you that takes you all the way!
